Defence Minister Kh Asif approaches police against London train incident

Defence Minister Khawaja Asif Thursday approached the Pakistan High Commission in London to report an incident in which he was threatened, harassed, and verbally abused on a local train a few days ago.

Khawaja Mohammad Asif informed the police that the incident took place on November 11 at around 3.30 pm in the Elizabeth line when he was on his way to Reading.

“Three to four members of a family harassed me, threatened to kill me with a knife and hurled abuses at me,” he complained.

According to him, he does not know the accused. The minister requested the police to trace the accused with the help of CCTV videos.

“Such heinous act brought shame to the 1.7 million Pakistanis living in the UK,” he said.
