The name of the Central Health Establishment has been renamed Border and Health Services (BHS), 24NewsHD TV channel reported on Friday.
The name of the department was changed at the request of Federal Health Minister Abdul Ghaffar Patel. A notification has also been issued in this regard after the approval of the Prime Minister.
The Border and Health Services Pakistan deals with the health of travellers entering the country by land, sea, and air.
The ministry has written a letter to Cabinet Division for amendment to the rules of business.
It is pertinent that the Directorate of BHS has already been shifted to its parent building in Karachi at the direction of the Islamabad High Court.
This step will further enhance the clarity and scope of work of BHS to continue to facilitate the public.
