Having been premiered in Lahore, film ‘The Legend of Maula Jatt’ received a mixed response from the audience—with some heaping praises on the cast while others criticising some actors over being unsuitable for their roles in the film.
The film has been released recently, and a large number of people are eager to watch it on big screens.
With thrilling reviews from the public, the film has been distributed widely; and reports indicate that it has received a robust launch at cinemas around the world.
The cast of the film are overwhelmed to see the public response as both the general public and critics have praised their work alike.
Notwithstanding the previous Maula Jatt, a cult favourite, was well-liked by the general public and praised for its plot, the film geeks have noticed that the new Maula Jatt is certainly not a remake.
Even the director of the film, Bilal Lashari, said in an interview that the plot was not the same. “It is rather different but with same old characters,” he had added.
A small number of people has also expressed negative remarks about the film; nevertheless, the majority maintained that it was a fantastic and satisfying cinematic experience.
Some opined that Mahira Khan and Fawad Khan were not suitable for Punjabi characters, for their Punjabi accent was not complementing to their characters. However, Hamza Ali Abbasi was praised widely for portraying his character so skillfully.
Everything aside, people are loving the film and it is trending on Twitter.
It merits a mention here that this is the 2nd film of Bilal Lashari as a director after War. The film had been announced in 2013, and it has been released after nine long years.
