Zaka Ashraf boosts Pakistan team morale in Ahemadabad

Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Zaka Ashraf Friday boosted the morale of the national team's most-anticipated fixture of this iteration of the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup is set to take place tomorrow (Oct 14) in Ahmedabad.

Babar Azam’s side will take on India at the Narendra Modi Stadium as the players are keen to end a jinx against their arch-rivals in the 50-over World Cup.

The PCB chief encouraged the players to play with confidence in the biggest stadium. He also advised them not to come under pressure as the team had shown impressive performance in the previous two matches of the event.

In the evening, the PCB chief will attend the dinner hosted by BCCI.

The contest will mark the first instance of Pakistan and India playing a One-Day International against each other on Indian soil after 10 years. Their last bilateral meeting resulted in Pakistan defeating the hosts 2-1.
