Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Chief Minister (CM) Ali Amin Gandapur will preside over an important meeting today at 3 pm to make a strategy for his party, the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s (PTI) protest on October 15 in Islamabad’s D-Chowk.
According to the 24newsHD TV Channel, the meeting will be held at the Chief Minister’s House in Peshawar. During the meeting, the Chief Minister will consult with all the members of the PTI national and provincial assemblies and party office-bearers.
The meeting participants will review in detail the preparations and strategy for holding a successful protest rally in Islamabad on October 15, 2024.
As per the report, a joint strategy will be adopted to bring more people to take part in the protest rally while different tasks will be assigned to leaders and elected members of PTI in this regard.
Yesterday, in an important development, the Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) leaders linked the postponement of the party’s protest, on the occasion of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) conference, to their meeting with former prime minister and PTI founder Imran Khan, who is currently incarcerated at Adiala Jail, Rawalpindi.
During the party’s core committee meeting on Saturday, the party leaders said they would postpone the protest provided if they were allowed to meet the former prime minister.
While on Sunday, PTI leader Sheikh Waqas Akram also said that the party was ready to take back its call for the protest if the government allowed him and other party leaders to meet Imran Khan.
Emphasizing that those who were in power were also responsible for whatever good or bad happened to a country, the PTI leader made it clear to the government that it would be responsible if any loss of life or property was caused during the protest.
