A diphtheria outbreak in Dadu has claimed the lives of seven children this month, with 35 new cases reported in the last two days, reported 24NewsHD TV Channel on Sunday.

According to the channel report, the affected areas include Khairpur Nathan Shah, Mehar, and Johi, where dozens of cases have surfaced.

Local hospitals are reportedly facing shortages of test kits and essential treatment supplies, hampering efforts to control the disease.
