Waqar’s brother-in-law Abbas surrenders, denies involvement in Motorway gang-rape

Abbas, brother in law of Waqarul Hassan, co-accused in Lahore-Sialkot Motorway has surrendered himself to the Police, 24NewsHD TV channel reported. 

Abbas has surrendered himself to Sheikhupura Police. Abbas was using a mobile phone SIM issued on the CNIC of co-accused in gang-rape Waqarul Hassan.

Abbas said, “I have nothing to do with Abid. Abid had asked me to get him a job. We both used to work together in a steel mill and I last contacted Abid 10 or 12 days ago,” the TV channel reported.

He denied involvement in the Motorway incident and said he has nothing to do with Abid except he used to work with him and often asked for a job.

In a video statement recorded to the Sheikhupura Police, Abbas said he met with the Abid before the Eid-ul-Azha. We only met him because he always asked us for a job or some work,” he said in a video statement.
