The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) Wednesday reminded all the parliamentarians and legislators to file their annual statements of assets and liabilities for the fiscal year 2021-22 ending on June 30, by December 31 to avoid suspension of their coveted membership.
According to the 24News HD TV channel, all the senators and members of the national and provincial assemblies have been asked to file their annual wealth statements of their spouses and dependent children on the Form-B for the financial years 2021-2022.
The ECP has warned the parliamentarians and legislators that their membership will be suspended on January 16, 2023, if they will fail to submit their annual statement by December 31, 2022.
The ECP said that it will issue a list of all those parliamentarians and legislators on January 01, 2023, who fail to submit their statements till December 31, 2022.
The ECP also warned the parliamentarians and legislators for submitting wrong information about their assets as legal action against them will be taken.
