JUI leader Maulana Fazlur Rehman has called 'unjustified' the president's poll date proposal.
In a letter to Chief Election Commissioner Sikandar Sultan Raja, President Dr Arif Alvi proposed November 6 as the date for the general elections.
There is no justification in the president’s proposal, JUI chief said while talking to 24NewsHD TV channel.
In the letter, the president further said the the judiciary's help may be sought on the matter.
Fazlur Rehman said the judiciary sent the ball into the court of president and the president into the judiciary’s. The collision between the state organs will not be allowed, he added.
Lashing out at Arif Alvi, he said that Arif Alvi is bias.
The letter is aimed at creating chaos in the country, he said, adding that such bids will be thwarted and the president should stay in his legal ambits till the end of his term.
