The Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) Tuesday held a full-scale mock drill at Jinnah International Airport in Karachi for protecting people from deadly coronavirus.

CAA Senior Joint Secretary Abdul Sattar Khokhar said the exercise was aimed at meeting safety needs. Since protecting people from the deadly bug is a priority of authority, no compromise would be made in this regard, he said.

Reps of Sindh government, NDMA, federal health and the ASF witnessed the exercise and expressed at arrangements and found that exercise informative and helpful.

The government started relaxing restrictions on social and economic activities cautiously. Last week, the CAA let private planes fly and directed to adopt protective measures.

Our Senior Reporter Samar Abbas contributed to the story.
