Sisters of former Prime Minister and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan—Aleema Khan, Noreen Khanum, and Uzma Khanum—along with their cousin Qasim Khan, were stopped by police at the Gorakhpur checkpoint in Rawalpindi while en route to Adiala Jail, 24NewsHD TV Channel reported on Tuesday.

The family members were attempting to visit the incarcerated PTI founder when they were halted by law enforcement. Speaking to the media at the checkpoint, Aleema Khan expressed her frustration, saying, “We are being stopped again today.”

Aleema clarified that no protest call had been issued, nor was there any plan for a political gathering. “I had not given any call before, and I have not given any call today,” she stated. “I had only tweeted that if we are not granted permission, family members will sit outside.”

She emphasised that they only speak for themselves and do not bear responsibility for others. “We only give our responsibility, not anyone else's,” Aleema asserted.
