Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif announced on Tuesday a special package for overseas Pakistanis, including the establishment of special courts for the speedy disposal of their cases in the country, reported 24NewsHD TV Channel.
Paying tribute to their services for the nation, PM Shehbaz made the announcement while addressing the First Annual Overseas Pakistanis’ Convention in Islamabad.
“Special courts have been established in Islamabad for speedy disposal of cases related to overseas Pakistanis.” He elaborated that such courts would also be set up in all provinces.
The PM added that the Pakistani diaspora would be provided the facility to attend hearings via a video link, adding that they would be facilitated with e-filing. "There will be a 5% quota for overseas Pakistanis in federal universities. 3,000 children of overseas Pakistanis will be given admission in the medical colleges," the premier announced.
PM Shehbaz said overseas Pakistanis were being provided with e-filing facility, civil court procedures were being amended immediately and Overseas Pakistani women's age limit for government jobs has been increased from 5 years to 7 years moreover, online sale deed pilot project launched in Punjab.
He said feasibility study launched for construction of international airport in Mirpur Azad Kashmir. The PM also announced giving civil awards to overseas Pakistanis who have done outstanding work on August 14 every year.
Shehbaz Sharif said 15 Pakistanis who have sent the most foreign exchange will also be awarded civil awards.
He urged overseas Pakistanis to expose poisonous propaganda and lies against the country. Overseas Pakistanis should contact the Prime Minister's House directly for investment.
PM Shehbaz Sharif said, “Pakistan's defense was impregnable, no one can look at Pakistan with a dirty eye.”
Talking about menace of terrorism, the PM said “where do we get the materials of terrorism, everyone knows.” He said terrorism was completely eradicated in 2018 with the sacrifices of Pakistan's armed forces. The Prime Minister said mistakes were made in the past few years, as terrorists were brought to Pakistan and settled.
PM Shehbaz said Army Chief General Asim Munir is a true Pakistani and a great professional. The Prime Minister said malicious talks are made on social media against the soldiers who protect the homeland. The Prime Minister said the country is gradually achieving economic stability. PM Shehbaz Sharif said Pakistan will never forget Kashmiris.
