Dolphin jawans foil bid to abduct woman in Lahore

Dolphin Force personnel on Tuesday foiled an attempt by four men to abduct a woman in the Liaquatabad area of Lahore, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
As a result of a gunbattle between Dolphin jawans and the kidnappers, one accused was killed on the spot.
According to the TV channel, four armed men tried to kidnap a woman who was riding on a rickshaw in the Liaquatabad area. The Dolphin team rushed to the scene after receiving an emergency call. The alleged abductors after seeing the Dolphin jawans opened fire on them.
In the exchange of fire, one accused identified as Jahangir, a record criminal, was killed on the spot, a Dolphin Force spokesperson said.
The dolphin team took the woman into their custody and shifted her to Liaquatabad police station. The other three kidnappers managed to flee from the scene, the TV channel reported.
The Dolphin Force spokesperson said all the four accused were carrying weapons and were high on drugs.
