Pakistan Covid positivity ratio stands at 7.12 percent

As the second coronavirus wave surged across Pakistan, the National Command and Operations Centre (NCOC) on Tuesday reported that the country's national positivity ratio for coronavirus stood at 7.12 percent.

According to the latest figures, as of December 15, the highest positivity ratio was observed in Hyderabad 22.45%, followed by Karachi 19.89% and Peshawar 19.04%.

The number of critical patients is rising fast in Pakistan as 2,495 Covid patients were in critical condition across the country.

The positivity ratio in various federating units was: AJK 9.4%, Balochistan 14.2%, GB 0.5%, Islamabad 4.3%, KP 7.2%, Punjab 3.8% and Sindh 14.9%.

The province-wise Covid positivity ratio was as under: 

Punjab: Lahore 4.16%, Rawalpindi 7.71%, Faisalabad 1.62%, Multan 4.08%, Gujranwala 0.00%.  

Sindh: Karachi 19.89%, Hyderabad 22.45%.

KP: Peshawar 19.04%, Swat 2.74%, Abbottabad 13.33%.

Balochistan: Quetta 5.06%.

Islamabad: ICT 4.30%.

AJK: Mirpur 18.48%, Muzaffarabad 1.67%.

GB: Gilgit 0.00%.
