Commander-in-Chief of the US Central Command General Eric Kurilla has visited the General Headquarters (GHQ) in Rawalpindi and held a meeting with Chief of the Army Staff General Asim Munir, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
According to a statement issued by the ISPR on Thursday, General Asim Munir and General Kurilla exchanged views on a raft of issues ranging from fight against terrorism to regional security.
A smartly turned-out contingent of Pakistan Army presented guard of honour to the visiting dignitary.
Commander-in-Chief of the US Central Command General Eric Kurilla visited the martyrs memorial at the GHQ and placed a wreath.
According to the ISPR, delegation-level talks between the armed forces of Pakistan and the US were also held.
ISPR said the American military delegation will also visit the Torkham border.
Last month, the US Centcom chief felicitated General Asim on assuming charge as the Pakistan Army Chief.
Gen Munir assumed command of the Pakistan Army on November 29, replacing former COAS Gen Qamar Javed Bajwa.
