The Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) has decided to appoint a permanent chief executive officer (CEO).
In this regard, the PIA administration has invited applications for the CEO’s position. The criteria set for the PIA CEO’s position says the candidate should between 45 to 62 years old and must have 20 years of experience in the field of airlines or aviation. The PIA will appoint the CEO for three years.
Earlier this month, Khurram Mushtaq was appointed acting CEO of the PIA after a meeting the airline’s Board of Directors. Khurram Mushtaq assumed the charge of his office on completion of Air Vice Marshal Aamir Hayat’s tenure.
Khurram Mushtaq, one of PIA’s most senior chiefs, brings extensive experience in aviation to his new role. He has previously headed key departments, including commercial, airport services, flight services, security, and vigilance, showcasing his leadership capabilities within the organisation.
