Probe launched into 310 vehicles bought illegally during Buzdar’s tenure

Public Accounts Committee (PAC) of the Punjab Assembly (PA) started investigation for purchasing 310 vehicles amounting to Rs212 million during tenure of PTI’s former Punjab Chief Minister Usman Buzdar, 24NewsHD TV reported on Sunday.
According to credible sources, these vehicles were purchased without obtaining necessary permission from any forum and in violation of rules and regulations. Sources further revealed that even Board of Governors (BoD) necessary nod was not obtained but surprisingly all the advance payment was made to relevant party.
The action caused a loss of Rs21200 million to national exchequer and ignored all rules and regulations.
