The Pakistan Armed Forces Spokesperson said Pakistan Army has established free medical camps in far flung areas of Cholistan.
ISPR director general Maj Gen Babar Ifthkikhar said, “The Army set up eye-surgical camps in remote areas of Cholistan jointly with district administration from February 3 to February 5.”
The mobile health unit camps were set up in Ahmed Pur East, Din Garh and Chanan pir areas that provided X-Ray and lab facilities to the local people.
These camps provided free eye surgical treatment and checkup and glasses to people, ISPR DG said.
Army’s media wing announced that these medical camps will be established throughout the year now.
The Cholistan desert is a large desert in the southern part of Punjab that forms part of the Greater Thar Desert which extends to Sindh province.
