Former finance minister Abdul Hafeez Sheikh has also captured in the radar of the National Accountability Bureau (NAB), 24News HD TV Channel reported on Tuesday.
According to the report, Hafeez Sheikh has been named as accused in the reference of illegal contracts in the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) during the Pakistan People’s Party regime.
The sources said the meeting of the NAB Executive Board was held on Tuesday and discussed the details of the case.
The sources said former FBR chairman Salman Siddique and Asher Azeem, Abdullah Yousuf are also among the accused.
The sources said NAB Karachi had recommended filing a reference against Hafeez Sheikh and others. They made a contract of Rs11 billion to install automation software in the FBR and paid the money through illegal ways, the sources said.
