Punjab CM decides to remove DPO Nankana after inquiry into mob lynching

Punjab Chief Minister Syed Mohsin Naqvi has decided to immediately remove DPO Nankana from his position after an inquiry report into the mob lynching incident in Nankana Sahib, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Wednesday. 

A three-member inquiry committee headed by Additional IG Zulfiqar Hameed conducted hearing of the incident and submitted its report to the Punjab chief minister. Two DIGs were also part of the committee. 

The chief minister also directed action against other accused responsible for the incident. He said all resources will be used to bring the culprits to book.

Meanwhile, Punjab caretaker government has stopped the recruitment and posting of more than 500 officials and officers in the newly-created districts of the province.

The previous government had approved the posting of 549 officers and officials in Gujrat Division and other new districts.

Model graveyards

Punjab Chief Minister Syed Mohsin Naqvi has also ordered to immediately make functional all model graveyards across the province including Lahore.

The chief minister chaired a meeting to review affairs of Shehr-e-Khamoshan Authority.
CM Mohsin Naqvi abolished charges of Rs10,000 in model graveyards for the poor. At model graveyards, Rs10,000 were charged for digging the grave, providing slabs and for other services. 
The chief minister has also ordered that all graveyards of the city should be cleaned and encroachments-free. He issued directions for conducting a survey of the city graveyards.
Projects of Kahna Nau, Raiwind Road, Ahlu and Sue-e-Asal model graveyards will be completed.  
825 kanal land will be allocated at Kahna Nau Road model graveyard, whereas 98 kanal land at Ahlu Katcha Road, 127 at Raiwind Road and 276 kanal land will be allocated in Sue-e-Asal Road for model graveyards.
The chief minister also directed that fore walls of model graveyard, Janazgah and construction of place for ablution should be completed at model graveyards. 

Provincial Information Minister Amir Mir, Minister for Local Government and Community Development Ibrahim Hassan Murad, secretaries of local government and information, commissioner Lahore division, deputy commissioner, DG Shehr-e-Khamoshan Authority, DGPR and other high ranking officers of the government attended the meeting.
