Punjab Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi reached Rahim Yar Khan to inaugurate the upgraded Sheikh Zayed Hospital, 24NewsHD TV Channel reported on Wednesday.
The project has been completed in a record time of 80 days. The CM and his team travelled from the airport to the hospital in a local van, setting an example of simplicity and austerity.
He visited the OPD, cardiology and gynaecology wards of the hospital and praised the quality of upgradation. He said that the hospital's facilities were better than some private hospitals in Lahore and expressed his satisfaction with the improvement of treatment facilities.
He praised the team for completing the project in a short period. He also interacted with medics and praised their dedication and professionalism. He said he was very happy to see such an excellent hospital in Rahim Yar Khan and urged them to take care of it.
He said that the citizens of remote areas like Rahim Yar Khan also had the right to quality treatment facilities and that his government was committed to providing them.
The health secretary gave a briefing on the upgrade of the hospital.
