Indonesia’s Batik Air allowed to launch operations to Pakistan

The Federal Cabinet has allowed Indonesia's Batik Air to start air service to Pakistan, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Thursday.


The Cabinet also approved to give Batik Air the status of official airline on the summary of Ministry of Aviation.


Batik Air will start seven weekly flights to Karachi and Lahore.


Batik Air will use B-737 and A-320 aircrafts for Pakistan.


The Federal Cabinet also approved the appointment of Secretary Tuhfeef Ghurbat Yusuf Khan as Managing Director (MD) of Baitul Mal.


The federal cabinet removed Amir Fida Pracha from the post on January 1.


The financial and administrative plans of Baitul Mal were getting affected due to the absence of MD.


Yusuf Khan will serve till appointment of permanent MD.


Both the decisions were approved by circulation summary from the cabinet.
