Sindh government on Saturday proposed to reduce the number of spectators in the upcoming Pakistan Super League (PSL) event amid surge in cases of Covid-19, which will be marked as the 7th season of country’s premium league, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah’s government has decided to give the proposal regarding reducing the number of crowd to the National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC).

Earlier, the NCOC had given the green signal to the cricketing fans to gather in huge number with 100 percent attendance.

However, due to sudden increase in the coronavirus cases and its highly mutated variant ‘Omicron’ in the country (particularly in the province), the Sindh government came to the conclusion that number of spectators should be reduced.
