Security forces kill four more terrorists in North Waziristan gunbattle

Security forces personnel have eliminated four Fitna Al-Khwaris terrorists during a gunbattle in North Waziristan district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

According to an ISPR press statement released in Rawalpindi on Wednesday, the four terrorists were killed an intelligence-based operation (IBO) carried out by the security forces jawans.

The soldiers also recovered arms and explosives from the hideout of the terrorists, who remained actively involved in numerous militant activities against the security forces as well as target killing of innocent civilians.
Sanitization operations were being conducted to eliminate any other khwarji found in the area, as security forces of Pakistan are determined to wipe out the menace of terrorism from the country, the ISPR statement said.

This development came four days after the security forces had killed nine terrorists in two separate engagements in North Waziristan District. A intelligence-based operation was conducted by the security forces in general area Dosalli, on reported presence of Khwarij.

During the conduct of the operation, own troops effectively engaged the Khwarij location and resultantly, six Khwarij were sent to hell, while two Khwarij were apprehended.

Another intelligence-based operation was conducted in general area Esham, North Waziristan District. After an intense fire exchange, three Khwarij were neutralised by security forces, while two Khwarij got injured.

President, PM pay tribute to security forces

President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Wednesday paid tribute to the security forces for eliminating four terrorists in an anti-terror operation in Spinwam area of North Waziristan.

The president and prime minister, in separately issued statements, lauded the bravery of the security forces for carrying out a successful intelligence-based operation.

“The entire nation stands united against terrorism. The anti-terror operations will continue till the elimination of terrorism as the security forces are carrying out the operations to achieve the objectives,” President Zardari remarked.

Prime Minister Shehbaz said that the people of Pakistan were proud of their brave security forces.

“We will continue to foil the evil designs of the enemies of the humanity. The government and the security forces are fully resolved to purge the country of terrorism,” he added.
