Iraq Ambassador Hamid Abbas called on Chief of Army Staff (COAS) Gen Qamar Javed Bajwa in Rawalpindi, the Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) said on Wednesday.
Matters of mutual interest, regional security and the ongoing Covid-19 combat came under discussion during the meeting, the military media wing said.
Speaking on the occasion, the Pak Army chief said Pakistan values brotherly ties with Iraq, the ISPR said, adding that the COAS assured the ambassador of all-out support to Iraq for bringing in peace and prosperity. The Iraqi envoy praised Pakistan’s part for maintaining regional peace.
