PML-N President Shehbaz Sharif on Wednesday opposed the plan to abolish annual increment of government employees, describing it as the greatest injustice.
How a government employee can sustain for a month after receiving a salary of a few thousand if the prime minister cannot do that with Rs200,000, Shehbaz remarked in a tweet.

He said it had been proven that the incumbent PTI government was of the IMF, not the people. Those committing excesses against the people had announced that they won’t reach to the IMF, Shehbaz recalled.
The PML-N president said the conditions imposed by the IMF had become a noose for the nation and promised that they would not leave the people and the government servants alone in the fight against tyranny.
Earlier, Shehbaz had censured the government over the reports of committees working on forced retirement of employees.
“It wants to do this at a time when people are already hard-pressed economically. The whole matter reeks of ill-will,” he remarked.
Shehbaz added that his party would take up and inquire about the matter in the National Assembly.
