The banks across the country will remain close for three days on the eve of Eid-ul-Adha, reported 24NewsHD TV channel Tuesday.

The State Bank of Pakistan has issued a notification in this regard. According to the notification, the State Bank of Pakistan will remain closed from 20th to 22nd July 2021 (Tuesday to Thursday) being public holidays on the occasion of Eid-ul-Adha.

The Government of Pakistan has given only three holidays on this Eid-ul-Adha. The National Command and Control Authority (NCOC) had recommended the government to announce five holidays on the eve of Eid-ul-Adha in the wake of fourth wave of the coronavirus that is getting momentum.

However, the federal cabinet went against the NCOC advice and adopted for three holidays for the Eid-ul-Adha and announced three public holidays from July 20-22.
