Prime Minister Imran Khan has called Afghanistan's former president Hamid Karzai and extended an invitation to him for his participation in a conclave, Pakistan is going to host soon, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
Information and Broadcasting Minister Fawad Chaudhry tweeted that Pakistan’s efforts were underway to bring stability in Afghanistan. He said Prime Minister Khan telephoned Afghanistan ex-president Karzai on Wednesday night and invited him to attend a special conference on Afghanistan, which Pakistan was hosting. Details of the conference would be brought forward soon, he added.
He further said that important Afghan leadership including Karzai had been invited to participate in the conference. He expected as a result of this important development a new ray of hope would emerge regarding solution of problems in Afghanistan.
