The Election Commission of Pakistan Friday instructed that every candidate should ensure the training of his polling agents and they not leave the polling station without receiving the signed Form 45 from the presiding officer, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
The ECP said in its statement that the presiding officers will receive the polling bag from the returning officers.
Instructions have been given to the presiding officers to keep their mobile location on while taking the photo of Form 45 on the polling day.
On reaching the office of the officers, the original copy of Form 45 will be handed over to the returning officers. The returning officers will save the forensic details on their computers.
The ECP has set up special control rooms to monitor by-elections, being held in 20 constituencies of Punjab assembly on Sunday.
According to ECP, separate special control rooms have been established at central and provincial levels. The control rooms would continue working till the compilation of polling results.
Returning officers, relevant deputy commissioners, representatives of police, Rangers and Pak Army would be present in the control rooms to deal with any emergency.
Central and provincial control rooms have also been established. The Election Commission has expressed the expectation that voters will exercise their right to vote peacefully.
