An anti-terrorism court in Lahore on Monday indicted PTI Vice-Chairman and former foreign minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi in connection with a May 9 vandalism case, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
ATC Judge Khalid Arshad summoned witnesses on July 22 after Qureshi was charge-sheeted in setting on fire Shadman police station.
Earlier in the day, Qureshi was shifted to Kot Lakhpat Jail in Lahore from Rawalpindi’s Adiala Jail.
Shah Mehmood Qureshi was earlier sent on judicial remand following his alleged involvement in May 9 riots. The court after rejecting the plea to extend the physical remand, sent the PTI leader on judicial remand under police custody for 14 days.
Qureshi, who is already in jail, was interrogated in Adiala Jail during his physical remand period.
