Islamabad United and Quetta Gladiators are set to face off in the first Eliminator match today, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
The high-stakes match will take place at the National Stadium in Karachi. The victorious team will then compete against Peshawar Zalmi.
Islamabad United, under the leadership of Shadab Khan, secured third place in the PSL 2024 points table. They achieved five victories and suffered four losses out of ten matches, with one match resulting in no result. Khan’s performance has been instrumental in the team’s success.
On the other hand, Quetta Gladiators, guided by their new captain Rilee Rossouw, finished fourth.
Despite having the same number of wins and losses as Islamabad United, their net run rate was negative (-2.386). Rossouw is hopeful that his leadership will steer the Gladiators to the PSL 2024 final.
