Peshawar Zalmi Thursday won the toss and elected to bat first in the first qualifier against Multan Sultans at the National Bank Stadium in Karachi.
The winner of the match will head straight to this edition’s final to have a shot at the coveted trophy while the loser will face the winner of the first eliminator on Saturday to decide the second finalist of the event.
After winning Babar Azam, who is the top run-getter this season and has formed a formidable opening pair which has the highest strike rate in the PSL this season with Saim Ayub, hoped to continue the batting momentum and wanted to rely on their strength.
"We'll try to give our 100 percent and produce a great contest"
Mohammad Rizwan said he also wanted to bat first as doesn't seem like there's any moisture.
He said Khushdil Shah has returned to the playing XI replacing Tayyab Tahir.
