Three persons, including the owner of a private school, were arrested by the police on charges of cheating and fraud during the matric examinations in Karachi, reported 24NewsHD TV channel Tuesday.
According to details, unrelated persons were found solving the paper at the Future Colony examination centre.
The two persons and the owner of the school were taken into custody on the orders of Deputy Commissioner (DC) Malir Irfan Salam during his surprise visit.
In this regard, DC said that duplicate material was also seized during the examination centre visit.
The DC said that he would write to the Chairman Board of Secondary Education regarding examination centres set up in small schools and would demand action against the private schools which cannot provide facilities.
The condition of the private schools was not deemed suitable for setting up an examination centre, he added.
A room had capacity for 20 students and 70 students are forced to take the exam while the centre officials say additional students have been sent by the board, the DC said.
