A special narcotics court Saturday adjourned the hearing of the drug peddling case against Federal Minister for Interior Rana Sanaullah till October 19, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
Special Judge Anti-Narcotics Sheikh Naeem heard the case of Rana Sanaullah and five other accused.
At the beginning of the hearing, the counsel of Rana Sanaullah informed the court that his client cannot appear due to official commitments and submitted an exemption from the hearing plea.
The prosecutor objected but Rana’s lawyer replied that Rana Sanaullah will appear in the future.
The court approved Rana Sanaullah’s exemption from the appearance plea in the drugs recovery case.
After that, the court directed the lawyers to continue arguments on the case in the next hearing and adjourned the case till October 19.
