Former President Asif Ali Zardari has decided to contact the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) and the powerful circles against the caretaker set-up, reported the 24NewsHD TV channel.

According to sources, the Central Executive Committee (CEC) of the Pakistan People’s Party expressed its apprehensions regarding the caretaker set-up.

The PPP CEC meeting concluded on Friday after two intense days, had shed light on the party's concerns and future strategies.

One of the primary issues discussed during the meeting was the PPP's apprehensions regarding the caretaker set-up.

Asif Ali Zardari will discuss the matter with his political allies about the party's concerns and seek guidance on navigating the complex political landscape. The discussions are expected to revolve around the ban on development work in Sindh and the alleged non-cooperation of the bureaucracy in Punjab.

Additionally, Asif Ali Zardari plans to communicate with former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif via phone to seek input on these matters.

The meeting also discussed the significant influence and resources allocated to members within the PML-N in caretaker setup, including access to development funds and cabinet positions.

Bilawal Bhutto, while acknowledging that he had joined the government to address the country's crisis, stated that the PPP would not tolerate any mistreatment.

In a notable development, Bilawal Bhutto and other party members opted for a more conciliatory approach, advocating dialogue instead of confrontation. Furthermore, the members granted Asif Ali Zardari the authority to hold discussions with whomever necessary to address the party's concerns.

However, it was emphasized that if these concerns were not adequately addressed, the party would consider alternative options, indicating a willingness to explore various political avenues to protect its interests. The PPP's stance reflects a commitment to safeguard its position.
