The Central Executive Committee (CEC) of Pakistan People's Party (PPP) has been deliberating upon the ongoing political situation, inflation and elections, Shazia Marri said on Thursday.

Flanked by  Faisal Karim Kundi and Shehzad Saeed Cheema, Shazia told the media that the CEC moot was a continuation of the Karachi sitting and it will held another session tomorrow as well.

Chaudhary Manzoor was asked to submit a report on the flood, she said, adding that various proposals are being given in the CEC and the final decision will be taken after deliberations.

“In Pakistan People's Party, everyone, including the workers, has the right to give their opinion.”

About the election, she said the PPP talked about elections in 90 days under the constitution.

The PPP leader lashed out at the president for, what she called, playing a game.

“The president does not have the authority to give an election date. He should  act under his constitutional domain instead of issuing controversial statements.”

“The Election Commission has the authority to give an election date and the PPP is stressing that the commission should do so.

“We want the elections to be held in accordance with the constitution.”

"Bilawal Bhutto Zardari formed a committee and said that everyone should take a decision on the matter but at that time the PTI leadership showed stubbornness," she recalled.

“All parties except the PTI agreed that the elections should be held in one day."

Faisal Karim Kundi said all four provinces have caretaker government.

“Development projects have been banned in Sindh, but development projects are ongoing in Punjab and KP,” he rued.

The PPP always played the role of opposition in Punjab, Shahzad  Cheema said but it has been deprived of its due share in Punjab.
