United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) will assist Punjab government in achieving sustainable goals of development, education, health and empowering of women, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
In this regard the regional representative of the UNDP Samuel Razak met with Chief Minister Punjab Mohsin Naqvi in Lahore on Thursday.
In the meeting, Chief Secretary, Secretary Planning and Development Board, Secretary Industries and concerned authorities, Assistant Resident Representatives UNDP Amara Durrani, Aamir Goraya, Faisal Awan, Shuja Hakim were present.
In the meeting it was also agreed on the need to create a local data system for early warning of natural calamities.
Samuel Razak assured support from United Nations Development Program for creation of local data.
On the occasion CM Mohsin Naqvi said that cooperation will be increased to deal with environmental and climatic changes.
He said that UNDP is a reliable partner for development and improvement in Punjab.
Regional Representative UNDP appreciating said that Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi and his team are doing exemplary work for improvement in various fields.
