The Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Saturday barred the police from arresting PTI MNA Sher Afzal Marwat in any case without its permission, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
Issuing notices to the secretary interior, Punjab inspector general of police (IGP), Islamabad IGP and the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA), Justice Saman Rafat Imtiaz, in her written order, ordered them to submit their para-wise comments on the petition filed by Marwat.
The court also sought details of the cases registered against the MNA.
Counsel for Marwat, on the occasion, told the court that his client feared arrest in an unknown case.
ATC judge recuses from hearing bail pleas of PTI MNAs
Also on Saturday, Tahir Abbas Sipra, a duty judge at an anti-terrorism court (ATC), recused from hearing the bail petitions filed by PTI MNAs Sher Afzal Marwat, Sheikh Waqas Akram and Ahmad Chattha, who had been arrested from inside the Parliament House.
