Saleema Imtiaz is nominated for the International Cricket Council (ICC) International Panel of Development Umpires, 24NewsHD TV Channel reported on Sunday.
According to details, she is the first Pakistani woman cricketer who is nominated for this prestigious post.
After nomination, Saleema Imtiaz will be able to perform umpiring both in international series and ICC women's cricket events.
In her remarks after the nomination, Saleem Imtiaz thanked the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) for providing her the opportunity to take part in this nomination process. She said that this is not for her but an honour for the entire country.
It is pertinent to mention here that Saleem Imtiaz will perform umpiring in the T-20 women's cricket series, which will be played between South Africa and Pakistan.
