Indian resident from Gujrat Nilanshi Patel’s ‘lucky charm’ secures her a place in the Guinness World Record.
Nilanshi has held the honour of ‘the longest hairs in the world’ for a long time and last July on her 18th birthday when her hair was measured it reached 6ft 6.7 inches.
Nilanshi said no to cut her hair at the mere age of six and grew it as long as she could by letting it grow for many years. However after she was announced as the girl with the longest hair worldwide, she decided it’s time for a new hairstyle.
"My hair gave me a lot - because of my hair I am known as the 'real life Rapunzel'... now it’s time to give it something back," Nilanshi declared.
"I'm so excited and a little bit nervous because I don't know how I'm looking in the new hairstyle... so let's see what happens, but I hope it's going to be amazing," the apprehensive and a bit nervous Nilanshi said.
Nilanshi has been accustomed to long hairs for so long that before her grand haircut she was extremely on edge and certainly not sure of what the outcome would be therefore she crossed her fingers to initiate an atmosphere of ‘good-luck’ right before the cutting began.
As soon as the cut was done and styled, Nilanshi seemed super exhilarated with her new bob.
The amount of hair that was cut off weighing up to 266 g was donated by Nilanshi to Ripley’s.
It might be hard to believe but Nilanshi’s hair which has been cut is considered extremely valuable and will be securing a place at Guinness World Records Museum in Hollywood.
