Court acquits nine TLP workers in vandalism, arson case

An anti-terrorism court in Lahore has acquitted nine workers of Tehreek-e-Labbaik Pakistan (TLP) in a vandalism and arson case, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

In its verdict issued on Tuesday, the court remarked that the prosecution could not prove charges against the accused.

The court has acquitted nine TLP workers including Muhammad Yusuf, Rehan Hussain, Saeed Ahmed, Muhammad Azhar Munir, Muhammad Salim, Muhammad Ashraf and Afzal.

Anti-Terrorism Court Judge Arshad Javed pronounced the verdict.

On behalf of the accused, Asri Chaudhary, Malik Saleem Advocate and Khawar Hayat Advocate presented arguments.

A case was registered against the accused in Nawan Kot police station in 2021.

There was an allegation of vandalism and arson against the workers of TLP.
