After Punjab, the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has also reduced the price of Roti in order to give relief to the people, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Tuesday.
In this regard KP Food Minister Zahir Shah Toro said that the price of 100-gram bread (Roti) has been reduced by Rs5 to 15 and Rs30 for 200 grams of bread.
The government is taking steps to provide relief to the most vulnerable and middle class people of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, the food minister said.
He said that the provincial government is using all resources to control inflation.
The minister said that there is a people's government in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and it is taking decisions in the interest of the people.
The district administration and the food department should regularly monitor the reduction in the price of light Roti, said Zahir Shah Toro.
After consultation with KP Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur, it was decided to reduce the price of Roti by Rs5, the minister said.
He said that district administration Peshawar has also issued a formal letter regarding the reduction in the price of Roti and the new rate.
