The government on Tuesday rejected the summary moved by the Drug Regulatory Authority of Pakistan (DRAP) for an increase in the prices of over 40 medicines, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
Rejecting the summary, Federal Minister for Health Abdul Qadir Patel said not a single medicine’s price would be increased. “We will give relief to the masses instead. We will make sure that all necessary steps are taken for the welfare of people,” he said categorically.
“We are answerable to the people and their service is our mission,” the minister concluded.
