Punjab CM orders rehabilitation of four gates of Lahore’s Walled City

Punjab Caretaker Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi has approved a summary for the rehabilitation of four gates of Lahore’s Walled City, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Tuesday.

In this regard the summary for renovating Sheranwala Gate, Kashmiri Gate, Lohari Gate and Roshnai Gate has been approved by the Punjab Chief Minister.

The main objective to rehabilitate and renovate the historic gates of the Walled City is to restore city’s original cultural values and to enhance its scenic beauty and in this regard development works are continuing on behalf of the Punjab government.

Gas tanker moves on CM route

The security personnel seized a gas tanker that came on the route of Punjab chief minister’s convoy despite being signaled to stop in Lahore.

According to police sources, a Parco Pearl gas tanker came close to the convoy of Punjab Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi near Kalma Chowk Lahore when he was on his way home.

The security personnel in the convoy of the chief minister seized the tanker and handed it over to Garden Town police. The police registered a case against the tanker driver, Habib Sultan.

According to traffic police sources, the tanker coming from Kahna was signaled to stop, but the tanker driver brought the tanker on the route of the chief minister’s convoy.

Punjab CM directs LDA to dispose of expats’ applications 10 days

Punjab Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi has ordered Lahore Development Authority (LDA) to dispose of applications of overseas Pakistanis within 10 days.

During his visit of LDA’s One Window Cell the Punjab Chief Minister said that timings of the cell were increased in order to facilitate the citizens.

On the occasion he said that will talk to federal government for setting up a counter of Federal Bureau of Revenue (FBR) in One Window Cell.

The Chief Minister met the citizens and pursued about the progress of their applications.

Citizens complained the Chief him that LDA officials often use delaying tactics for disposal of applications.

Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi summoned the concerned authorities and ordered to dispose of the applications within the stipulated period.

Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi also issued orders on the spot to redress the complaints of the citizens.

He also directed that No Objection Certificates (NOC) should be delivered to senior citizens at their door step in any case.
