Two cops were injured when a police patrol van was targeted with an improvised explosive device (IED) in Peshawar on Friday morning, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
Superintendent of Police (SP) Warsak Arshad Khan said the explosion took place near the police van resulting in injuries to two cops.
The injured policemen were rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment.
Arshad Khan confirmed that the blast was caused by an IED planted on a roadside in a suburban area of the KP provincial capital.
