Former Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf leader Sami Ullah Alizai has announced to join Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam after a meeting with Maulana Fazlur Rehman, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
Addressing a press conference along with Fazlur Rehman in Dera Ismael Khan on Friday, the former Khyber Pakhtunkhwa minister said that Maulana Fazlur Rehman has adopted the modern and progressive development of the new era.
Sami Ullah Alizai has twice been elected as a member of the provincial assembly from PA-112 City II. This time, he will contest the provincial assembly election against Ali Amin Gandapur on the JUI ticket.
According to sources, another PTI member of the provincial assembly from Dera Ismail Khan will also join JUI-F soon.
Fazlur Rehman welcoming Sami Ullah said the Nawabs of the Alizai family have always been respected by us. “We have not confined politics within any religion,” he added.
Maulana Fazlur Rehman said the integrity of Pakistan and its stability has been our goal while we are also striving hard for human rights and peace.
