Famous Pakistani actress Ushna Shah has lately set the record straight by saying that wearing a Hijab or sleeveless attire is her personal choice not others as she believes that ‘modest’ clothing does not picture someone as a good or a bad person.

Ushna Shah appeared in a candid interview session where she has been seen indulging in a meaningful conversation regarding the common perception of people to sketch others in mind as per their appearance and clothing.

During the span of the engaging session, Ushna Shah also addressed the controversy regarding herself for not wearing the Hijab after performing Umrah in quite detail which has somehow managed to provoke an opinionated session on all over social media.

Let us provide you with what exactly Ushna stated in the interview: “ I am not saying that I will convert to a Hijabi tomorrow or will not wear sleeveless suits or whatever I used to wear in Canada. It is a very personal choice. I had performed Umrah two times earlier during the period of COVID-19 and I did not upload its picture for two years because I feel that people think that if you have started wearing Hijab automatically you are a good person and if you dressed Lehenga choli or sleeveless on your wedding you are bad. I see both sides. I know some people remain fully covered to whom I do not assume as good people and I also know some vise versa, and modern kind of people who are very good. I do not think that your outfits define you as good or bad, it is all personal, not concerned with anyone else. It is all based on someone’s religion, tradition, and perspective. But I want to say that yeah, I did enjoy wearing the Hijab and I understand why so many women enjoys it. There is a freeing thing, beauty, and comfort in the Hijab as it offers you a modest fashion, it relaxes you from discomforts relating to heavy weights and some others. Most importantly it somehow makes women protected from prying eyes and you also get a chance to repress your own culture through this."
