D-Chowk protest case: Court sets 61 free

The police from three stations in the federal capital presented 188 accused before an anti-terrorism court (ATC) in connection with the D-Chowk protest case.

According to 24NewsHD TV channel, the court of ATC Judge Tahir Abbas discharged 61 out of the 188 accused.

The Sihala police presented 31 accused individuals before the court after completing their two-day physical remand. The police requested an extension of the physical remand, but the court rejected the request and sent the accused to judicial remand.

The Aabpara police brought 94 accused individuals before the court. Four of them were discharged from the case, while the court handed over the remaining 90 to the police on a two-day physical remand.

The Tarnol police produced 63 accused in court. The court discharged 57 of them from the case, granting a two-day physical remand for the remaining six.
