Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi on Monday visited Saudi Arabian anti-narcotics headquarters in Riyadh, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
On his arrival at the anti-narcotics headquarters, Mohsin Naqvi was received by Director-General Maj-Gen Mohammad Al-Qarni.
Both dignitaries held in-depth talks to strengthen collaboration to curb smuggling of narcotics. They agreed to adopt effective measures in this regard.
Saudi director-general anti-narcotics offered to provide latest technology to Pakistani personnel for detection of narcotics.
Mohsin Naqvi also visited control room of the anti-narcotics headquarters. He invited Saudi anti-narcotics headquarters director-general to visit Pakistan.
Mohsin Naqvi said that Pakistan unable to tackle smuggling of narcotics alone. He said that cooperation between Saudi Arabia and Pakistan will be enhanced against narcotics.
During a briefing session, Mohsin Naqvi was informed that Saudi anti-narcotics force is already in contact with Pakistan’s Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) and exchanging credible information reports.
They further informed that recently, on authentic information provided by Saudi Arabian anti-narcotics officials to their Pakistani counterparts, two accused were arrested who wanted to smuggle narcotics into Saudi Arab.
