Balochistan Chief Minister Sarfaraz Bugti handed over the scooter keys to Quetta Girls Postgraduate College students at the Chief Minister's Secretariat on Monday.
Education Minister Raheela Hameed Durrani, the college principal, and the students' families were also present on the occasion. The Chief Minister announced jobs for the students' brothers.
Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Minister said the provincial government will extend the scope of the Pink Scooty Scheme. Women's development is a priority for the provincial government, he added, noting that this initiative is part of the broader steps being taken to empower women.
He vowed to support the development of the middle class, mentioning that he comes from a middle-class family.
At the launch of the Pink Scooty Scheme last month, the Chief Minister distributed 50 scooters among students. He promised that every talented and high-achieving student in Balochistan would be provided with a pink scooter.
